Nani Returns Home, as United Lands Argentina Wonder Kid, Rojo
- Updated: August 19, 2014

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for defender Marcos Rojo, reportedly worth €20million.
The Argentinian has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer and even refused to train with his current club in a bid to force through his “dream” switch.
Louis van Gaal is desperate to land Rojo, who can play at centre-back and left-back, and offered Nani back to Sporting as part of the deal.
Talks between United and the Portuguese side have been ongoing since the weekend but an agreement has now been reached.
United announced Rojo will now undergo a medical with the club and seek to agree personal terms.
Sporting revealed earlier in the day they had agreed the deal, with Nani returning on a season-long loan.
The winger left Lisbon for Manchester in 2007 and after impressing early on, has seen his United career stall in recent times.
Remarkably he agreed a new five-year contract last summer under David Moyes but has found himself surplus to requirements under the new regime.
