Liverpool’s Balotelli Bid Calapses as Milan Refuse to Guarantee Italian’s Good Behaviour

Liverpool’s Balotelli bid fails as Milan refuse to sanction good behaviour clause

Liverpool’s bid for Mario Balotelli has collapsed after AC Milan refused to sanction a ‘good behaviour’ clause in the deal.

The Reds are desperate to add another striker before the transfer deadline after Luis Suarez’s big-money move to Barcelona.

Balotelli, 24, will be allowed to leave the San Siro this summer despite scoring 14 goals in 30 league appearances last season.

Third parties have been attempting to push through a deal for him to return to England and the Reds were interested in a loan switch.

It would have seen Balotelli move to Anfield but with the Reds retaining the power to send him back at any point.

That would have given Brendan Rodgers the potential to get the best out of Balotelli without having to worry about the mad-cap front-man being tied to the club for the long term.

But Milan did not want to risk being stuck with Balotelli if he was sent back from Liverpool and after being sounded out, they dismissed any deal on those terms.
