Liverpool Ready To Move Ahead Of Arsenal And Bayern For Bony
- Updated: May 22, 2014

Liverpool are preparing a £18million offer for Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony as the club look to kick-start their summer spending.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been promised significant funds to strengthen his squad in the off-season, with the club gearing up for Champions League football.
A left-back and a midfielder remain priorities, but Rodgers also wants to add another striker – and Swansea star Bony is a key target.
The 25-year-old scored 25 goals in his first season with the Swans, and impressed with his finishing, holding up play and power.
Arsenal and Bayern Munich are monitoring his progress, but Liverpool are ready to move first by making a £18million offer.
According to reports, the bid will go in before the World Cup begins in Brazil, where Bony will be representing the Ivory Coast.
Swansea have previously dismissed claims that Bony could be sold, but the striker has made it clear he wants to play in the Champions League.
