Liverpool Chases Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez With £18m
- Updated: May 18, 2014

Liverpool want Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez in an £18million deal as they build up their squad for a return to the Champions League.
Liverpool, like Arsenal, have been told Sanchez wants to quit Barca because he wants more starts.
A deal won’t be done, though, until Sanchez, 25, has played for Chile at the World Cup.
He cost Barca £25million when he moved from Udinese and earns £90k-a-week at the Nou Camp.
Sanchez, who can operate either as a striker or on the wing, gave an eye catching performance when Chile defeated England at Wembley in November.
He scored both goals in Chile’s 2-0 win.
The arrival of Sanchez could see the departure of Italian Fabio Borini, who has just returned to Liverpool after being on loan to Sunderland last season.
Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is already chasing Southampton’s England talent Adam Lallana.
