Super Eagles of Nigeria will need be at their best Sunday in their final group match against host South Africa at the ongoing African Nations Championship in South Africa.
The tournament is reserved for players plying their trades in their domestic league and South Africa is one of the favorite teams to win the
competition.
Presently, Nigeria is in third place in group A. They are behind South Africa and Mali who have 4 points each.
In the last group games, expected to be played simultaneously, Mali will play Mambas of Mozambique who have lost two matches and thus sitting in the bottom of the table. While Nigeria play host South Africa, the leader of their group.
A draw is all South Africa needs to advance to the knock out stage of the competition while the super eagles must win to advance.
Nigeria was shocked in the opening match suffering a defeat in the hand of Mali but came out better against Mozambique winning 4 goals to 2.
