”I Want to Go to a Champions League Club” Lukaku tells Chelsea
- Updated: July 8, 2014

Romelu Lukaku wants to be “free” of Chelsea by signing a permanent deal with a Champions League club.
The Belgium striker insists he does not want another season out on loan after spending the last two campaigns at West Brom and Everton.
And the Belgium forward , who has been linked with clubs all over Europe, said: “What I don’t want is to be loaned out.
“I am 21 and I have been loaned for the last two seasons. Thibaut Courtois was loaned for three seasons and will be without doubt the first-choice Chelsea goalkeeper.
“And Kevin De Bruyne has been transferred permanently to Wolfsburg. They are free in their heads – it is not my case. That would free me totally.”
After scoring the extra-time winner over the USA in the knockout stages of the World Cup, the £18m striker is a potential signing for Atletico Madrid, Juventus or Monaco. Reports in Spain claim a deal has already been done with the Champions League finalists.
