Holland Striker Promises To Sign New Bayern Deal

Holland winger Arjen Robben is set to commit his nearest future to Bayern Munich after saying he will sign a new contract with the European Champions.

The 30-year-old has a contract with the Bundesliga champions until June 2015 but is hoping for a two-year extension.

Robben said agreement would probably be decided after another conversation.

“The intention is there, from both sides, to extend, but there is no problem with salary, which I have read somewhere.

“I’m happy here. As a young professional, you always want to go higher, to go to better clubs. I was very young when I was at Real Madrid and Chelsea, but now I am at the best club in the world, I can’t get any better than Bayern.

“It could be (my last club). We have a super, super team and the future looks good, there is still time for titles and I want to win a few more.” He said.

Robben also said he is considering his career after football when he hopes he can live a more ‘normal’ life.

He added: “I often talk about it with my wife, we have bought a house in Holland and we’re looking for a piece of land to buy another one.

“We want to live a normal, free life and do things like go on ski holidays, accept birthday invitations, join a tennis club and I want to be the normal Arjen, a normal person, not a footballer.”
