Flamingoes To Play Belgium On Their Way To Costa Rica

Nigeria’s U-17 national women’s team, Flamingoes will depart the country for a training tour in Faro, Portugal ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica .
The delegation made up of 25 players and 9 officials will leave for Portugal from Abuja aboard Lufthansa Airline for a 19 days training camp at the Browns sport and leisure Club in Faro.
The team will engage the Belgium U-17 national team, for a friendly match on March 4, 2014 in Brussels among other games as lined up for them by the Nigerian Football Federation(NFF).
The team will return to Faro from Brussels and then jet out to Madrid, Spain en route San Jose, the Capital of Costa Rica on march 12, 2014.
Flamingoes coached by Bala Nkiyu will play their first game of the 2014 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup on March 12 against China.
Nigeria is drawn in Group D with Mexico, Colombia, and China Peoples Republic.
