Falcao, Di Maria, Others See the Other Side of EPL as United Surrender Points at lowly LeicesterCity
- Updated: September 21, 2014

Luis Van Gaal and his new stars may have just been officially welcomed to the English Premier League as Manchester United shockingly surrendered a two-goal lead to lose 5-3 at newly promoted Leicester City.
Louis van Gaal opted to field three strikers, and although his side were rewarded with three goals, they were severely punished at the back.
United conceded five times to Leicester as their defensive frailties were exposed for all to see.
While Louis Van Gaal might now extend special privileges to Angel di Maria as well as Wayne Rooney, Manchester United’s manager needs to impose some special measures at the other end of the field after this.
United were magnificent going forward, with Di Maria marking another masterclass in attacking football with a quite outrageous first half goal that suggested that, like Rooney, he should be guaranteed a place in Van Gaal’s side.
But on an afternoon that had a distinctly South American flavour here in this particular corner of Leicester, Van Gaal also had to endure a defensive performance that served as another reminder of the challenge still facing the Dutchman.
