Enyeama shines in ligue1 as Onaze sees Red

Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama was again voted man of the match by sports journalists after another superb outing in Lille’s slim home victory against visiting Llorient in their ligue 1 fixture at the weekend.

Enyeama, who took over the Super Eagles captaincy from out of favour defender Joseph Yobo has won the the hearts of French sports journalists following his excellent performance for Lille in the 2013/2014 season.

The 31 year old Super Eagles captain was voted the best player in Ligue 1 on two consecutive occasion ahead of world class players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Radamel Falcao,Thiago Silva and Edinson Cavani.

Elsewhere in Ligue 1, Monaco new signing Elderson Chiejine would have to wait another week to make his dream debut for the former European champions as coach Ranieri did not include the Super Eagles defender in the squad that won 2-0 away to Bordeaux.

In Italy, Super Eagles midfielder Onazi Ogenyi was sent off in the 54th minutes during Lazio’s narrow victory away to Undinese. Ghanian Agyemang-Badu was on target for the home team.
