CHAN: Zuma Happy with Bafana Bafana’s Performance
- Updated: January 11, 2014

South African president Jacob Zuma was a surprise visitor in the Bafana bafana’s dressing room shortly after the hosts came back from a goal down to beat Mozambique 3-1 in the opening match of the on-going CHAN 2014.
President, who was excited at the performance of the home team told the players that there he was happy with the way they started the tournament with a victory.
Bernard Parker scored a brace after Hlompho Kekana had cancelled Mozambique’s early goal to secure a convincing victory for the hosts.
The Bafana bafana now lead the group with three points, same as Mali, who defeated the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the second group game.
South Africa will book a place in the next round of the tournament if they secure maximum points in their next game against Mali. The game against the Malians may however not be an easy one, as the Eagles will also set their eyes on the next round.
