Chelsea Throws £60m at Pogba, Arsenal Sets To Announce Debuchy, as Tottenham Eyes Negredo

Transfer gosip

Chelsea clinched the £32m signing of Spain international Diego Costa.

Costa has agreed a five-year deal worth round £150,000-a-week and becomes Chelsea’s second signing of the summer following the £27m arrival Cesc Fabregas.

Chelsea remain in talks to sign Costa’s Atletico team-mates Filipe Luis and Tiago.

Arsenal will confirm the arrival of France international Mathieu Debuchy after the World Cup.

It is understood the Gunners have agreed a £12m fee with Newcastle for the defender.

Debuchy is expected to fill the void left by right-back Bacary Sagna, who joined Manchester City on a free transfer last month.

Arsene Wenger has been backed to snap up Bayern Munich ace Mario Mandzukic, but Arsensl need to offer £20m if they want to complete a deal for the Bayern Munich striker.

The Croatian striker wants to quit the Allianz Arena this summer after admitting he doesn’t fit into boss Pep Guardiola’s plans.

His desire to leave has seen a host of top clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan all linked with a swoop.

It’s understood the Gunners appear to be in pole position for the 28-year-old, however, they must stump up £20m, which is more than their valuation of the player, if they are to force through a deal.

Joel Campbell is the most likely World Cup star to be plying his trade in the Premier League next season, according to bookies Ladbrokes.

The Costa Rica striker starred for Olympiakos in the Champions League last campaign after leaving Arsenal on loan.

Chelsea are set to launch a massive £60m raid to try and sign Manchester United target Paul Pogba from Juventus.

The bid would amount to their largest ever transfer, eclipsing Fernando Torres’ £50m move from Liverpool in 2011.

The Blues have already signed Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona and are set to land Atletico Madrid’ss Diego Costa.

Blues target Jackson Martinez is reportedly in talks to join Arsenal.

The striker was in fine goal-scoring form for Porto last term and has attracted the interest of several Premier League clubs.

Chelsea have been joined by Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United in the battle to sign Sami Khedira.

He is out of contract at the end of next season and Real could sell him now to avoid losing him for nothing.

Madrid chiefs think Khedira is asking for too much to renew his deal and, although they consider him important, he’s not good enough to command such a high salary.

Tottenham have entered the race to sign City forward Alvaro Negredo.

New Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring the Spain striker to White Hart Lane.

But he will have to go head-to-head with Atletico Madrid for the £20m-rated hitman.

New Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal wants to complete a deal for Netherlands centre-back Stefan de Vrij.

De Vrij is likely to be joined at Old Trafford by Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen, who has agreed terms on a switch to United.

And finally Barcelona are ready to ramp up their interest in Liverpool forward Luis Suarez.

The Spanish giants are ready to enter negotiations with Liverpool over a deal for Suarez, after the Uruguay striker publicly apologised for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.

Reports in Spain suggest Suarez has already agreed a £160,000-a-week deal to move to the Camp Nou.

Adam Lallana stunned Southampton by threatening never to play for the club again if they didn’t let him join Liverpool.

The England midfielder, 26, has been at the Saints since he was 12 but left amid a storm yesterday.

He had become increasingly frustrated that Southampton were trying to stop him leaving.

And Lallana was so desperate to push through a switch to Anfield that he told St Mary’s chiefs he would refuse to play.
