Houston Rockets Set New Worst Second Half Performance Record
- Updated: January 17, 2014

The Houston Rockets Thursday night experienced the most extreme case that the NBA Basketball has ever seen in a game they disappointingly loss at home to Oklahoma City Thunder 104-92.
The Rockets were outstanding in the first half, scoring 73 for both their season-best half and the Thunder defense season-worst performance. The second half was just a bit different as Houston recorded only 19 points, including the fourth quarter in which they were outscored 21-9 by the visitors.
The 54 point drop ranks as the biggest half-to-half scoring differential in NBA history. Only one team has ever followed a half of 70 points with one of 25 points fewer- the Seattle Supersonics on December 21 2001 against the Golden State Warriors.
Their 19-point half also tied an NBA record for the worst mark in history.
