Osaze Odemwingie has been recalled to the Nigeria squad, and as exclusively
reported by KickOffNigeria.com, Columbus Crew midfielder Emmanuel Ekpo has
also been named to face Ghana in London next month.
West Bromwich Albion striker Osaze Odemwingie has finally been recalled to the
Super Eagles after being neglected by coach Samson Siasia since March.
Odemwengie’s exclusion from the Nigerian squad came after the forward left the
team camp without permission shortly after the Super Eagles African Nations Cup
qualifier in March.
It took the intervention of the officials of the Nigeria Football Federation for the two
men to mend fences after which the striker apologized, earning him a recall for the
friendly against Ghana in London next month.
Meanwhile, as part of his continued efforts to build a new Super Eagles, Siasia has
handed first time invitation to Colunbus Crew midfielder Emmanuel Ekpo and Warri
Wolves goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim.
However, surprisingly missing on the list of invited players are Dinamo Kiev point
man Brown Ideye and defender Dele Adeleye.
