The leadership crisis rocking the Ogun state chapter of the ruling Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP may soon be over as Gov. Gbenga Daniel swallowed
his pride on Friday and paid a visit to former President Obasanjo’s home to
beg him for forgiveness.

Recall that Obasanjo and Daniel have led a parallel faction of PDP in Ogun
state with each camp claiming legitimacy after holding a parallel congress
that produced separate set of contestants for various elective positions in
the state.

To the surprise of Gov. Gbenga Daniel, who is the south west coordinator of
Jonathan Sambo campagn organization, a court sitting in Abuja ruled that
Obasanjo’s camp was the legitimate faction, and was consequently
recognized by the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC.

Gbenga Daniel confirmed to journalists, after a close door meeting with
Obasanjo, that he begged the former president.

His words “I am a true Yoruba son. In Yoruba land, it does not matter who is
right or who is wrong, it is the young person that will beg the older person.
So, I have begged Baba and I will continue to beg him”.

He also stated that PDP will remain strong in the state, even as he hinted
that he will suport Gen. Tunji Olurin as PDP gubernatorial candidate in the
state.

Daniel was accompanied to the peace meeting by Chief Afe Babalola, Chief
Kessington Adebutu and Mr. Kenny Martins and others.

Now dat Daniel has eaten d humble pie let us hope d imperial lord wil 4give
him. But am nt very optimistic OBJ wil going by his reputation. OBJ wil take
his time 2 strike wen Daniel is unsuspecting. Daniel deserves woteva he gets
cos u neva bite d finger dat feeds u. OBJ made him govnor n he dared 2 try
his luck where d likes of elephants like MKO,IBB n odas av failed. Daniel is
abt 2 face d law of kama n he must dance naked b4 he wil b 4given. So he
shld cntnue 2 beg n go 2 bed wt an eye open.

Anyone who knows Obasanjo know that he doesnt forgive, go and ask
Wabara, Anyim, Tinubu, even late Okadigbo...To Daniel, I m sorry for you,
you are finished! Obasanjo's man will probe the hell out of your 8 years rule if
he wins, even the AC will expose you too, if the party wins...head or tail, you
lose, the evil that men do....

Why should Baba forgive him? He fought tooth and nail till he was trashed by
the man that made it possible for him to be Governor in the first place...
